Chinese New Year Feasting

February 1st, 2011

Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit

February isn’t just the month to shower love on your Valentine (but see great Valentine’s options here). It is also the month to celebrate the Chinese New Year honouring the Year of the Rabbit.

Rabbits are trustworthy and admired people. They are well-spoken, conscientious, and ambitious. Rabbits often have a serene nature that keeps them calm during conflicts or stressful situations. This sensitive side also means that rabbits have to be wary of those who try to easily take advantage of their gentle ways.

You are a Rabbit if you were born in the following years:
1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011

Chinese New Year is generally celebrated amongst family and friends with a great feast consisting of “lucky” foods like oranges, fish, shrimp, and noodles.
